I work with leaders and organizations that are called to operate in a new way and create a new world. Many leaders are inspired by Conscious Capitalism and other calls to create a new way of doing business, but most are unsure how to do it. My purpose is to help you transform into a “new paradigm leader,” one who models for others what the future of leadership will look like.
In practice, my work focuses on several key areas. The first and most important is helping you transform yourself into a leader who can create and guide a new kind of organization. This includes clarifying your highest purpose and evolving your beliefs and behavior to match it. Leaders of multi-billion dollar organizations like Nabisco, Starbucks, AOL, Intel, Oracle, the Arison Group and the Brickman Group have used and praised my purpose methodology.
My second key focus is creating an organization that models the new paradigm of business. This includes helping the organization to clarify and manifest its higher purpose, vision and core values in a way that contributes to the bottom line, the employees, and the world. A compelling higher purpose that can be used to increase employee engagement and win new customers is the key! Business thought leaders all agree on its importance, but CEOs struggle to find a purpose that truly inspires. Leadership teams from ING, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Accenture (to name a few) have used my services in this area.
I also specialize in non-hierarchical systems and their implementation. Many forward-looking leaders are aware of the disengaging effects of traditional management practices, incentive-based compensation and hierarchy itself. The alternatives, though, are poorly understood and difficult to implement without the proper understanding and support. While many examples of non-hierarchical organizations make great case studies, few of them are ready to install in your company. The rewards are great, though, if you pick the right one and implement it successfully!
In politics, I help government leaders to develop a powerful message and compelling vision that will leave a lasting mark on their country. The traditional methods of messaging are cynical and inauthentic, relying on analysis of the public to determine what people want to hear. What they want to hear is authenticity, something that moves and inspires them! The politicians who grasp this simple reality have a huge edge, assuming they can find an authentic, inspiring message that moves their country forward. (That’s where I come in!) Government ministers in several countries have relied on me to get themselves reelected and rebound from political shakeups.
